UW-Superior reports highest overall enrollment in 13 years

This fall, the University of Wisconsin-Superior reached the largest number of total enrolled students it has seen since 2011.

Based on the tenth day of enrollment data, UW-Superior has a total headcount of 2,801 – a four percent year-over-year increase. UWS is also at an all-time high for graduate students with 787 and high school dual enrollment with 202. New on-campus undergraduate students increased by five percent, bringing the total on-campus undergraduate student population to 1,205.

“UW-Superior has had five consecutive years of overall enrollment growth,” according to Jordan Milan, associate vice chancellor of enrollment and marketing. “We’re excited to see positive figures across student types – from on-campus first-year students to online graduate students. Students tell us that they are drawn to UWS because of our supportive, caring community of faculty and staff who truly want to see them succeed. We are thrilled to welcome more students to the Yellowjacket family.”

Notable in UW-Superior’s fall 2024 data is a 25 percent increase in online graduate enrollment. International enrollment also remains strong with over 200 international students from 36 countries.

“There is a palpable energy and wonderful sense of optimism on campus this fall,” said Chancellor Renée Wachter. “With our new Superior Choice Credit Union Stadium Grand Opening in October and many new partners and plans for the coming year, it’s exciting to see UW-Superior continue to position itself as the Anchor of the North.”
