Four awards for 2007 Video

Posted on Oct 21, 2008
Two Communicating Arts Instructors and a UW-Superior student receive four awards for 2007 video.

Two members of the Communicating Arts Department and one student have been honored for a video they produced in the Summer of 2007.  Thomas Notton, Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor, Brent Notbohm made the video entitled "Are You Ready?  The College Transition" with the assistance of student Mike Larson.  The video was produced by UW-Extension Educators Annette Bjorklund, Dianne Weber and Lori Zierl as part of a larger project to help students and their parents make a successful transition from high school to college.  Notton was the Executive Producer for the video, with Notbohm directing and editing the project.  Larson was an intern on the project, filling the role of production assistant.

Over the past several months, the video has received four awards.  This Spring, the video was recognized with the Communicator Award by the Wisconsin Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals.  This Fall, the video received three awards, including the North Central Regional Winner for Outstanding Achievement by the National Association of 4-H Agents, the First Place Central Regional Award by the National Extension Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS) and the NEAFCS First Place National Award.

Notton and Notbohm have worked for several years producing educational videos for the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
