I have spent the majority of my days in Wisconsin, Minnesota or Ohio, trying to surround myself with books and people who love language. I graduated from UW-La Crosse with a B.A. in English and a minor in General Honors. I received my M.A. in Creative Writing - Poetry from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. If I'm not running, kayaking, or backpacking, I'm spending time with the household critters and a good book. Some favorite authors include Jesse Ball, Aimee Bender, Neil Gaiman, James Tate, John Berryman, Emily St. John Mandel, and Jane Hirshfield.
