My ideal job would be an interpreter, but that might take a few years considering I am still working on mastering Spanish. In the meantime, I have a few other places I would love to teach: Hawaii (that would be amazing), an inner city school (perhaps New York or Chicago) or Mexico. Basically, wherever I can get a job is where I'll be headed, the only thing that matters to me is that I'll be teaching.
Well, to be honest I didn't right away. I went to a private college and ended up transferring to the best university: UWS! A few main factors were that I'd get more bang for my buck here. My class sizes are the same as at the private school and for a fraction of the price. Plus, we have the best education program around and I am basically guaranteed a job once I graduate. Oh yeah and I live 5 minutes away- which is really nice when you have an 8am class!
Diversity. I can meet students from 30 different countries without having to leave my hometown. How sweet is that?! Also, it is the perfect size. It is small enough that your professors know who you are and you recognize people on your way to class, but big enough that you don't run into the same people all the time. I love it! There are lots of other things I love about it too, but those are my top two.
Being a future teacher, I love to learn so I enjoy my classes. The thing I love about the Liberal Arts education is that I get to take classes I normally wouldn't have somewhere else. I get a well-rounded education, without even realizing how amazing of an opportunity it is.
Hands-down, the upstairs of the library by the fireplace. There are couches and chairs with a handy pull out desk thing. It is really nice and peaceful.
One of my favorite places on campus is the HWC, but unfortunately I don't get to go there as often as I like. The workout rooms are really nice and sometime I'd love to give wally-ball or racquetball a try.
Haha…working. One nice thing about college is that there are on-campus jobs available, which means you don't have to drive between school and work all the time. Otherwise, I love to golf, watch football, play volleyball, hang out with friends. It really depends on the day.
COMM 104-Film and Culture. Brent Notbohm is an amazing professor and I learned so much from that class. Plus, you get to watch a movie each class. You can't beat that!
I live off-campus, because my house is super close to campus plus it's free! There are times where it would be nice to live on campus, but overall off-campus is right for me.
Hmmmm….this is tough, but I'll go with sledding. Two extremely fun sledding hills are Dead Man's Hill in Cloquet and (you can't tell anyone that I told you this) Spirit Mountain (after hours of course). If you want more details let me know. ;)
Definitely the Super Bowl! I love football and it would so much fun to actually be at a game (let alone the Super Bowl). The only thing that would make this better is if the Packers were in it...and even better than that is if they won!
