UW-Superior students receiving the prestigious Swenson Scholarships gathered April 24 to thank Jim and Sue Swenson, the university alumni whose generous gifts have made those scholarships possible.

The Swenson Scholarships were established by Jim and Sue to aid students who meet the requirements of a major in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science or mathematics.

Swenson Scholarships pay for full tuition, fees and books, and may be renewed for up to three additional years by eligible students. The scholarships are offered through the University of Wisconsin-Superior Foundation Inc., a private foundation supporting scholarships, faculty and programs at UW-Superior.
