UW-Superior Liberal Education Learning Goals (LELGs)

The Faculty Senate approved the following institutional learning goals in Spring 2010 and revised them in Fall 2011. All students are expected to achieve them by the time of graduation. 

1. The ability to think and make connections across academic disciplines
2. The ability to express oneself in multiple forms
3. The ability to analyze and reflect upon multiple perspectives to arrive at a perspective of one's own
4. The ability to think and engage as a global citizen
5. The ability to engage in evidence-based problem solving

Assessment Plans

LELGs will be assessed following the Liberal Education Learning Goals Assessment Action Plan (April 2010) developed by the HLC Assessment Academy Team.
