Awards

UW-Superior limits Perkins awards to $1500.00 annually.   Additional awards may be available for summer enrollment periods.  The amount limitation is due to funding.  The total amount you may borrow as an undergraduate is $27,500.00.  Cumulative amounts for graduate/professional students (including undergraduate amounts) is $60,000.00.

Payments/Interest

The Perkins Loan is interest-free as long as the student maintains at least half time enrollment.  Repayment of principal plus 5% interest begins 9 months after the student  is no longer enrolled at least half time (i.e., graduation, leave the university or drop below half time).

Billing Agency
