Nicole Farmakes a senior at UW-Superior graduating with a Communicating Arts major in May, was recently hired for the position of Visitor Service Coordinator at the Pattison State Park; a job she found using Jacket Jobs the online recruiting system at UWS.

Pattison is about 12 miles away from Superior and boasts the highest waterfalls in Wisconsin and the fourth highest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains, as well as scenic views, beautiful waterfalls and abundant wildlife.

Although the position is only for the summer Farmakes hopes that this experience, coupled with the years of experience in different position here at UW-Superior will launch her on the path of success in her field after college graduation.

Farmakes utilized Career Services in resume review and help with starting her job search to find a job for the summer and will continue to do so as she looks for a more permanent position.

Her most important advice is to get involved on everything you can. Farmaked recommends all of us to take an active role and network a lot when looking for a job or an internship in order to be successful "Get involved, keep an eye out for opportunity! You never know if something fantastic will come your way!"
