A number of you are beginning your academic career as Summer College starts. We're grateful you have chosen UW-Superior, and want to make your learning experience a great one. Here are a few suggestions as you start.
· Contact your advisor whenever you have questions about your academic program or progress
· Stay in touch with the Distance Learning Center by calling toll-free at 877-528-6597 or e-mailing dlc@uwsuper.edu
· Use our course rotation to plan your schedule of courses leading toward your degree. It's available on the Distance Learning Center website, www.uwsuper.edu/dl.
· Visit the Cyber Café regularly to get to know fellow students, ask questions, and get answers from experienced distance learners. The Cyber Café is available to you through Learn@UW-Superior along with your online courses
· Contact the university's Technology Helpdesk when you have technical questions, by calling 800-806-2890 or e-mailing helpdesk@uwsuper.edu
· Take advantage of the free antivirus software at www.uwsuper.edu/technology/help/tools-downloads/antivirus.cfm, the discounted productivity software at www.wisc.edu/wisc , and the other technology discounts available through www.uwsuper.edu/technology/services/purchasing/students.cfm
· If you are in the Superior area, stop by and see us! Or, visit us when our staff holds information sessions in your area. Our schedule is posted on the DLC website and also announced in this newsletter.
Jennifer Glanville of Hermantown, MN graduated with a Communicating Arts major, while Christopher Moberg of Medford, WI received the Associate of Arts degree. Susan Pourier reminds us she now lives in Pine Ridge, SD.

PSYC 461, Abnormal Psychology, has been added to the course schedule for the fall of 2009.
