Join us on Monday, February 11, in JDH Library Room 231, for a distance learning course tour by Scott Smith from Communicating Arts. 

Scott will walk us through his course and explain how it's run. He'll highlight the D2L tools that enhance his course content and help him connect with students, and will share lessons learned in five years of DL teaching. In addition, Scott will demonstrate:

• How to use audio feedback in D2L course shells to engage students and provide a different type and quality of feedback.
• Tips and tricks to help manage the work load in your online class(es).
• How to "dress up" your course to bring your personality into your online presence.

If there's time, we'll also engage in a roundtable discussion about what's working well, and not so well, in our online courses.

The session will be interactive, helping you work with new D2L tools and illustrating how you can incorporate them into your courses! Bring your laptop, if you like, or use one that's provided.
