The following scholarships are specifically for students that exhibit financial need, as determined by filing the FAFSA:
Enbridge Energy Company Scholarship: Scholarships for students demonstrating financial need, with 50% of the monies awarded to students in the applied sciences. Students must be residents of the United States or Canada who are entering their second or subsequent year of study.
Margaret Frets Young Loan Fund: Short term loan given out through Financial Aid for real need worthy students who have emergencies.
Bernice C. Anderson Scholarship: Full tuition for one or more students showing financial need. Incoming freshmen must be in the second quartile of their high school graduation class. Returning students must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
Hans Bredahl Scholarship: $500; For a full-time student with a minimum GPA of 3.0, majoring in any area, and exhibits financial need.
Kremer-Camp Horseshoe Scholarship: $800; A long term loan for a graduate of Northwoods High School, Minong, Wisconsin, to be returned to the UW-Superior Foundation at the discretion of the recipient.
Paul Meadows Memorial Scholarship: $500; To be awarded to a student with a 3.0 GPA or higher and in financial need.
Donald & Laura Carroll Scholarship: For full time undergraduate students who show financial need, and serve as student assistants to the program areas in which they are majoring, working no less than ten and no more than twenty hours a week during each semester. Entering students must be in the top third of their high school graduating class. Returning students must have at least a 2.75 GPA to remain eligible.
Agnes Dahl Memorial Scholarship: A scholarship for a financial needs student whose academic credentials place them in the "B" or "C" category.
To apply for these scholarships, complete and submit the Financial Aid Scholarship form. The application deadline for the 2013-2014 academic year is May 17, 2013.
