Chemistry and Physics Scholarships
Chemistry Department Scholarship. For students majoring in chemistry.
Dr. Nathan A. Coward Scholarship. For a student majoring in chemistry or medical technology.
Dr. George K. Davis Biochemistry Scholarship. For an undergraduate junior or senior student majoring in biochemistry with a minimum GPA of 3.5. If no biochemistry student qualifies for the scholarship, the scholarship can be awarded to a similarly qualified student in organic chemistry.
Janis K. Fisher Scholarship. For full-time continuing undergraduate students of junior or senior status with a 3.0 GPA or better majoring in chemistry, physics, or mathematics.
John Hennessy Scholarship. For students majoring in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, or foreign language. Students must have a minimum score of 21 on the ACT or 1,000 on the SAT.
Loren and Holland Hutchinson Scholarship. For students of academic merit, preferably incoming freshmen, majoring in physics.
Carl and Marion Jacobson Scholarship. For students planning to enter engineering school and preparing with subjects such as chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer design, etc.
Lake Superior Research Institute Scholarship. For students majoring in program areas relating to environmental studies.
Ronald E. Olson Chemistry Fund. For an undergraduate student majoring in chemistry. The student must be at least at the sophomore status and a U.S. citizen. The student must also have the highest standing in his/her chemistry and mathematics courses and has not received this award before.
Bibiana Roubal Memorial Scholarship. For students who have a comprehensive chemistry major or chemistry major along with a major or minor in biology or math. Otherwise, to students pursuing medicine, dentistry, nursing or other hospital technical occupations.
Edwin H. Schrieber Scholarship. For students of academic merit majoring in chemistry.
A. D. Whealdon Scholarship. For students of academic merit majoring in chemistry, preferably incoming freshmen.
