Graduate Studies

Welcome to Graduate Studies where you can expect a Master's program designed with YOU in mind -- to meet your needs – your schedule, your needs, your location, your life experiences, your career goals.

Here at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, we offer Master of Arts, Master of Science in Education and Education Specialist degrees. You can earn your Master of Arts in either Communicating Arts or Visual Arts; you can earn your Master of Science in Education degree in Counseling, Educational Administration, Instruction, Library Science, Reading or Special Education. If you are seeking a post-graduate degree, the Education Specialist degree is available in Educational Administration.

When you apply for graduate work here, you will work with an advisor to devise an Individualized Plan of Study which takes into account your career goals, your experience and previous education and your personal circumstances. We make use of over 30 Interactive Television (ITV) sites throughout the state as well as on-line formats to cut down on your travel time. From the time you begin your program you will have at least 10 years to complete it – just in case life intervenes and you need that much time!

Working with our faculty and staff you will experience our values of intellectual growth, honesty, individual attention, professionalism, and respect for others and the diversity of peoples and cultures.

All of our graduate programs are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission's North Central Association of Colleges and Schools; all certification programs are accredited by their respective professional accrediting bodies. UW-Superior is widely known for the quality of its master's degree programs in Education, Educational Administration, Counseling, Communicating Arts and Visual Arts, and its post-graduate program in Educational Administration.

We're experienced in working with students who must fit their education into work and family life. Courses are available on campus as well as online and at locations around Wisconsin through outreach classes.

All graduate programs are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission's North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
