Overview
The instruction minor is designed to be paired with any of our licensable education major or minor licensure programs. It will provide you with the fundamentals of curriculum development and instructional techniques. It will prepare you to become an effective instructor,
The set of courses is aligned to ensure that students can demonstrate mastery of both the Wisconsin Educator Standards and the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) Standards. You’ll be able to observe and work in grade K-12 classrooms, with the grade level depending on what licensure you’re pursuing, in preparation for your final full semester of student teaching. This program is required for the Elementary Education K-9 major and is not available to non-education majors.

Upon completion of the instruction minor, you will be able to:
- Understand the relationships between theory and practice

- Create engaging, hands-on student activities
