Fines and Fees

A fine of 10 cents per day, up to a maximum of $10.00 per item, is charged for over due books. The fine for overdue reserve items and video materials is $1.00 a day.  Upon return of the item, a fine notice is sent out notifying the patron of fines that have accrued. If an item is fifty days overdue due, the patron is sent a bill for replacement costs of $60.00 per book and a processing fee of $15.00.  The replacement cost for videos is $115.00. If the actual replacement charge is greater than $115 the current replacement cost plus shipping and handling charges will be assessed along with the processing fee.  Patrons with fines of $5.00 or more will have a hold placed on their records. Contact the circulation desk if you have questions about fines and fees.
