Community Borrower Policies

Community members (residents of the Duluth/Superior areas) are eligible for a Community Borrower's Card.  All Community Borrowers must be 18 years of age or older, complete an application, provide a picture ID, and pay a one time fee of $25.00.  the fee will be waived for U-Superior alumni.  Cards will be issued during normal working hours, not on weekends or evenings.  Community Borrowers are expected to follow all circulation policies and my borrow up to 10 times at a time.

- Items from the general collection circulate for 28 days.

- Videos circulate for 3 days with one renewal.

- The Popular Reading collection (McNaughton) circulate for 28 days with no renewal.

- Items from the general collection circulate for 28 days.

Overdue materials and fines will block the patron from checking out materials.  Please see the Circulation Policies regarding fines.

Interlibrary Loan is not available to community members.  Your local Public Library will provide that service.

Computer Use by Public:

There is one computer available for use by the public. (There is no printer attached to this computer.) It is located by the Public Services desk on the main floor.Use is limited to one hour.  A Community Borrower Card is not required to use this computer.  NOTE:There is no wireless access available to community members.
