Nine students and an alumnus from the Multicultural Affairs program and COMM 495 (Writing Culture and Identity) will comprise this dynamic panel session exploring the "cultural intersections" of race and sexual orientation.
This panel will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, in the Multicultural Center - Old Main 232.
The panel works with the assumption that identity is a multilayered, complex, and vital part of our lives.
We also assume that our identities lead us to experience any number of experiences and relationships with others.
Given this, our goal is to work together, through safe and open discussion, to develop a better understanding of the unique and shared experiences and identities that make our lives so interesting.
There will be a question and answer session that ends the event, giving members of
the audience a chance to discuss insights with our panelists.
Keith Berry with the Communicating Arts Department and the Office of Multicultural Affairs with the support of the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning Curricular/co-curricular grant will be bringing Tony Adams to University of Wisconsin-Superior.
