Diversity Leadership

All University of Wisconsin-Superior students are invited to participate in the Diversity Leadership Retreat.

This is an excellent opportunity to explore the intersection of diversity and leadership, build community with student leaders from different organizations across campus, broaden horizons, comfort zones and self-respect on how to be change agents on campus and in our communities.

Workshops, discussions, and activities will take place in both large and small group sessions.  Students will be encouraged to openly share their thoughts and feelings in a safe and welcoming environment.

A stated goal of the retreat is to give students the means to begin infusing the UW-Superior campus with a multicultural perspective and inclusive approach to education. This is aligned with the work being done by the Inclusive Excellence Taskforce which "aspires to collaboratively create an organizational culture that actively advances inclusion, equality, and diversity throughout all aspects of campus. UW-Superior faculty and staff work together to explore the meaning and value of diversity and leadership from a verity of perspectives. The tools students take away from the retreat are valuable for use in on- campus settings and for life beyond the University.
