Campus Safety Office - Crime Victim's Information

If you have been the victim of a crime on the UW-Superior campus, here are a few of the things that you may do:

  • IF NO ARREST has been made yet and you would like to know about the status of your case, contact the Campus Safety Office. You may also call the office to find out whether someone has been arrested in connection with your case.
  • If an ADULT has been arrested in connection with this case, you may call the Douglas County Jail to find out whether the person has been released from jail.
  • If the case is referred to the Douglas County District Attorney's Office for possible prosecution, the District Attorney's Office will try to contact you with additional information, including whether charges will be filed, your right to attend court proceedings, and to discuss the case with the prosecutor. Contact the District Attorney's Office for more information about your rights.
  • If the case involves a JUVENILE (age 16 and younger), they may be referred to a juvenile intake worker at the Douglas County Department of Human Services. The intake worker will try to contact you with additional information, including your right to discuss the case with the intake worker and to receive notices of court proceedings. Contact the intake worker for more information about your rights.
