Car Prowl Suspects Arrested

Last week three cars were broken into on our campus.  In each case purses and items of value had been left in plain view on the seat.  Credit cards stolen from the purses were used a short time later at businesses in the Duluth/Superior area.  Campus Safety worked closely with both the Superior and Duluth Police Departments on these cases and if you haven't already heard, three suspects were arrested in Duluth.  The three, who have no known connection to the university, are facing multiple charges in both cities.  These incidents remind us there are people in our community who will take advantage of any opportunity to relieve you of your valuables.  The purse sitting on a car seat, the backpack left unattended in the student union, and the cell phone sitting on your desk are all fair game for these people.

Please report anyone you see acting suspiciously to Campus Safety.
