Underage Alcohol Violation Citation Assessments and Fines (2008):

*1st violation (100-200 and/or license suspension/work program)

Total fine amount =$249.00

**2nd violation within one year (200-300 and/or license suspension /work program)

Total fine amount =$375.00

***3rd violation within one year (300-500 and/or license suspension /work program)

Total fine amount =$501.00

****4th offense within one year (500-1,000 and/or license suspension /work program)

Total fine amount =$753.00

(If violation involves motor a vehicle, mandatory license suspension for 1-2 years.)

Citation Information:

When a citation is written at UW-Superior, a NOT mandatory court appearance date is scheduled for approximately two weeks after the citation date. The suspect may either appear in court before a judge on the scheduled date or go to the Clerk of Courts Office and pay the fine directly. All citations stay on the suspect’s permanent record in the State of Wisconsin.

Guidelines for Low-Risk Alcohol Use

(If under 21 years of age - 0 drinks = lowest risk legally)

Zero Drinks = Lowest Risk

FOR WOMEN = No more than one standard drink per day.

FOR MEN = No more than two standard drinks per day.

A standard drink is:

(One half ounce of pure alcohol)
12 ounces of regular US beer
1 ounce (1 shot) of 80 proof distilled
4 ounces of wine (12% alcohol)
One Tall Long Island Iced Tea =
4 drinks (4 shots per glass)
One Large Margarita =
3 drinks (3 shots per glass)

It is ALWAYS okay NOT to drink.
