UW-Superior alumni, friends unite to support students on 11th Annual Superior Day of Giving

TYPE

During the online fundraising event Superior Day of Giving on Tuesday, April 22, donations to the Superior Fund through the UW-Superior Alumni and Friends Foundation will be matched, thanks to a generous $10,000 gift from an anonymous alumnus.

Now in its 11th consecutive year, Superior Day of Giving is the foundation’s largest annual fundraising event, having raised nearly $1 million to date. In 2024, the event brought in more than $232,000.

Gifts to the Superior Fund support student scholarships, emergency funding, undergraduate research, and academic programming. As a top fundraising priority, the Superior Fund plays a vital role in enabling the foundation to provide essential support to the university.

Tax-deductible donations can now be made via PayPal and Venmo, offering greater convenience for donors. While most contributions on Superior Day of Giving are made online, gifts can also be mailed to the UW-Superior Alumni and Friends Foundation. Every donation – of any amount – made on April 22 will contribute to the success of the day.

The foundation is also continuing its partnership with UW-Superior Yellowjacket Athletics, which will host its sixth live telethon in support of the Champions Club. Contributions to the Champions Club directly benefit student-athletes in UW-Superior’s NCAA Division III athletic programs. To date, the telethon has raised nearly $300,000.
