Undergraduate Grant Opportunities

Who’s eligible: Students of Native American heritage

Other Info: If you are eligible to receive a Pell Grant, it will be determined that you have a zero EFC for all federal aid programs.
If you are not eligible to receive a Pell Grant, you will be eligible for this grant in the same amount as a maximum Pell Grant, not to exceed the cost of attendance.

The Nonresident Tuition Waiver Award is granted to students with the equivalent of a 2.9 – 3.39 high school Grade Point Average (GPA) on a U.S. 4.0 grading scale.

For nonresident students (including non-U.S. citizens) who have been granted a nonresident Tuition Waiver (NTW) Award, UW-Superior will waive 70% of the nonresident portion of tuition, rounded to the nearest $100 each semester. Awards through the NTW Program do not waive any of the resident portion of tuition.

Limited funds available; reduces non-resident tuition. Note: Students enrolled in a fully-online degree program are not charged non-resident tuition and therefore are not eligible for the NTW Program.

Who’s eligible: Students outside Wisconsin or Minnesota attending UW-Superior

Apply: Nonresident students who qualify for admission are automatically considered for a Nonresident Tuition Waiver (NTW)

Other Info: 

The Nonresident Tuition Waiver Scholar is granted to students with the equivalent of at least a 3.4 high school Grade Point Average (GPA) on a U.S. 4.0 grading scale.

For nonresident students (including non-U.S. citizens) who have been granted an NTW Scholar Award, the University will waive 95% of the nonresident portion of tuition, rounded to the nearest $100 each semester. Awards through the NTW Program do not waive any of the resident portion of tuition.

Limited funds available; reduces non-resident tuition. Note: Students enrolled in a fully-online degree program are not charged non-resident tuition and therefore are not eligible for the NTW Program.

Who’s eligible: Graduate students admitted to the Master of Science in Education and who are in the Special Education program. Financial Aid will notify students if they are eligible to apply for the TEACH Grant.
