UW-Superior to host Undergraduate Research Symposium

Nearly 30 University of Wisconsin-Superior students who have completed research projects through the TRIO McNair Scholars Program and The Link Center Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) will present their work on Thursday, October 12, from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union as part of the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Project topics include “Ernest Hemingway: The Snowball Effect of Stress-Inducing Circumstances,” “Ojibwe Spiritual Practices from the 1930s to 1978,” “Waters of the North Shore” and “Iodine Awareness.”

A poster session will begin at 3 p.m. on the Yellowjacket Union landing. Oral sessions will take place from 4 to 5:45 p.m. in Yellowjacket Union, Rooms 201 to 204. A dinner and recognition ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room.
