Overview
The Early Childhood Education Minor is designed to introduce students to developmentally appropriate practices for children from birth to grade 3. The program will give you the knowledge, understanding, and skills needed to plan and teach a curriculum that will foster the growth and development of young children. Students gain hands-on experiences early in the program and have multiple opportunities to work with all age bands in the early childhood sector.
This program is available on campus and online.

The ECED Program at UW-Superior has provided me with a well-rounded understanding of the development, learning, and exceptionalities of young children. Through my courses, I was able to observe, apply, and reflect on my knowledge of young children’s development with great support from my professors. I’m confident that the experiences and knowledge I have gained will serve me in my future classroom and beyond.
