Overview
Active citizenship is the foundation of the political science program at UW-Superior. As a student in this program, you’ll have the chance to investigate the roots of political and social problems and formulate creative strategies to address existing local, state, national, and international issues.
The political science minor is a great fit for students interested in pursuing a civics-focused career, or who simply want to gain a better understanding of their own role in government as an informed citizen.
You will benefit from three areas of emphasis:

- International peace studies
- Political theory
You’ll be able to choose from many unique opportunities, including internships, study-abroad, and academic service learning. Also, you can participate in the university’s political science community through student organizations, such as Model United Nations, the International Peace Studies Association, and the Political Science Association.
What You’ll Learn
As a minor in political science at UW-Superior, you will:
