The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will present “Piano & Percussion,” on Tuesday, February 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Webb Recital Hall as part of its University Recital Series.

The recital will feature Teresa Vaughan and Hector Landa on piano with Jeremy Craycraft and Brett Jones on percussion. The concert will showcase performers from two Twin Ports universities with Vaughan and Craycraft from The College of St. Scholastica and Landa and Jones from UW-Superior.

“We’ll be playing the quartet for two pianists and two percussionists written by David Maslanka called ‘This is the World we Know,’” said Jones. “It features five movements, each one a short tone poem depicting different well-known paintings. It illustrates quiet awe and wonderment at the world and nature.”

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door with cash, check or credit card. Webb Recital Hall is in Holden Fine and Applied Arts, 1805 Catlin Ave.
