Scholarships available for M.S.E counseling students

TOPIC

University of Wisconsin-Superior M.S.E. counseling students are eligible for new scholarships.

Five $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduate students enrolled in the counseling program for the Fall 2024 term. The scholarships are part of a partnership with the Department of Public Instruction.

“This is a great opportunity for our school counseling students to help meet the mental health needs of their K-12 school communities,” said MaKenzie Johnson, UW-Superior assistant teaching professor in the Department of Education. “Our program has helped place school counselors in rural and hard to staff districts all over Wisconsin and beyond. Anytime we can partner with a federal grant, we are excited to see the opportunities it affords our students.”

Applications are available online and due April 30. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 31.
