MBSR Winter 2025 – MIndfulness-Based Stress Reduction (virtual)
Location for this event is VIRTUAL, via Zoom. The orientation on January 22 is open to all, even if you’ve not registered yet. This is to answer any questions you may have and give you an idea of whether or not this class is for you. After that, you must be registered to attend the 8 classes and the all-day session.
This multi-session evidence-based course teaches participants about mindfulness–what it is, how it can help reduce stress, and how to incorporate more of it into your life. In addition, the course includes the experiential practice of various forms of mindfulness, including meditation, mindful eating, gentle stretching, awareness of the breath, and more. MBSR provides over 30 hours of teacher-lead instruction and guided practices, including one all-day Saturday session, large and small group discussions, and micro-credentialing.
The 2025 Winter 8-week MBSR classes will take place on Wednesdays in the early evening (5-7:30pm) and in-person. This session requires attendance at an orientation (which is January 22 for 90 minutes). The first class will be on January 29. Most classes in the 8-week course will be 2.5 hours in length (unless otherwise noted). There will also be an all-day class on Saturday, March 1, from 9:00am-4:30pm).
The course fee* is $50 for UW-Superior students. For all others, the cost is $295. (*NOTE: course fee is subject to change.)
