The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will host a special Halloween Orchestra Concert on Thursday, October 31, at 7:30 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium.
Narrated by UW-Superior professor Vicki Fingalson, D.M.A., and directed by Erin Aldridge, D.M.A., professor of orchestra, violin and viola at UW-Superior, with a guest appearance by UW-Superior Associate Professor Hector Landa, D.M.A., on piano, the family-friendly concert will feature classic and iconic Halloween-themed music along with other selections. Audience members are invited to attend in Halloween costume.
The concert will include Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue,” Richard Meyer’s “Incantations,” Bernard Herrmann’s “Psycho Suite,” Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Danse Macabre,” Franz Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden Quartet (movement 2),” and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and free for students. Thorpe Langley Auditorium is in Old Main at 1710 Weeks Ave. in Superior.
