The University of Wisconsin-Superior has been named among “20 More Affordable Schools for International Students” by U.S. News & World Report, ranking 14th most affordable in the nation.
According to U.S. News, among the 632 ranked colleges that enrolled at least 25 international students, 20 have annual total costs at or below $27,520. These costs do not account for financial aid awarded and include tuition and fees, room and board, books and transportation.
“UW-Superior has long been one of the most internationally diverse colleges in our region,” said Mark MacLean, director of international admissions at UW-Superior. “A lot of that is due to the value proposition that we offer – a high-quality Universities of Wisconsin education, internationally diverse and safe campus, small classes, strong career outcomes and beautiful location on the shore of Lake Superior – all at an affordable price.”
During the Fall 2023 semester, which was the data used in the U.S. News & World Report, UW-Superior had 181 international students. For the Fall 2024 semester, the university had 201 international students. Total tuition this year cost $25,604.
UW-Superior was the only college or university in Wisconsin or Minnesota to be included in the “20 More Affordable Schools for International Students” ranking. UW-Superior has the lowest cost of attendance among four-year universities in the Twin Ports area.
In September, UW-Superior was named among the best colleges by U.S. News & World Report, receiving high marks among Top Public Schools, Regional Universities Midwest, and Top Performers on Social Mobility.
