About

Haji teaches a number of courses including Paths to Peace, Theories of War and Peace, International Law and War and Peace, and co-teaches Seminar in Peace-Building. Along with Karl Bahm (History), he developed the War and Peace in Bosnia and Northern Ireland Study Abroad Programs, which takes students to Bosnia during the months of May and June every odd year and to Northern Ireland every even year. He has received the UW-Superior Outstanding Service Award of Excellence twice in the past 20 years.

Research Interests

Haji’s research interests include peacebuilding in post-conflict societies with emphasis on education and refugees; international humanitarian law; war and peace in Bosnia, Northern Ireland and the Middle East.
