This position is eligible for hybrid work consideration (up to three days per week). Currently, eligibility requires residency in one of the following states: Wisconsin or Minnesota upon hire.

DUTIES:

As a member of the University Marketing and Communications team, the Web Editor reviews, edits, produces and troubleshoots content for the UW-Superior website and landing pages. Assists with overall planning for website maintenance, expansion, and reorganization, keeps current on digital trends and engages in forward thinking about upcoming content needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree in Web Design, Multimedia Communications, Marketing or a related discipline
  • Minimum one year of experience in WordPress and its Content Management System (CMS)
  • Experience creating SEO-optimized web content
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 including Teams, PowerPoint, Word and Excel

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Multimedia Media Communications, Marketing or a related discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience with web content development, management, webpage design and web analytics
  • Experience with web accessibility standards

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong content writing and editing skills and attention to detail; optimize web copy so it’s engaging, brand-compliant, search engine-optimized and error-free
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented and demonstrates high initiative.
  • Ability to handle a variety of projects and tasks simultaneously and balance competing deadlines
  • Stays current on search engine optimization (SEO), User Experience (UX) and accessibility best practices and can apply these practices to support the website
  • Ability to use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, including implementing tracking codes, analyzing basic reports and setting up goals and campaign tracking
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Salary range for this position is: $54,000 – $59,000 annually.  Specific benefit information can be found here. A snap-shot of benefits offered for this position include:
