The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will present its first Symphonic Band Concert of 2025 on Thursday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium.
“The Symphonic Band will perform new works ‘Breath of the Mountains,’ by Cait Nishimura and ‘Blueshift,’ by Robert Langenfeld, as well as standards such as ‘Choreography,’ by Robert Sheldon,” said Steven Siegel, DMA, UW-Superior director of bands and trumpet. “The audience will also get to hear UWS alumni Yuma Yamaguchi’s riveting ‘Reflection of the River.’”
The evening will conclude with the powerful “Walking into History,” by Richard Saucedo.
Tickets are $5 for adults and free for students. Thorpe Langley Auditorium is in Old Main, 1710 Weeks Ave.
