Music Department to feature opera scenes from ‘Fiddler on the Roof,’ ‘Street Scene,’ ‘Barber of Seville

Students from the University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will perform opera and musical theatre on Tuesday, November 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium.

Under the direction of Professor Vicki Fingalson, D.M.A., UW-Superior Opera Workshop will perform a program of scenes from both the musical theater and operatic repertoire, including “Fiddler on the Roof,” Kurt Weill’s “Street Scene,” Mozart’s “Cosi fan tutte,” Donizetti’s “Elixir of Love,” and Rossini’s “Barber of Seville.” 

These scenes will be performed by 13 students, primarily in English, with a bit of Italian. They will be joined by pianist Teresa Vaughan.  Tickets are $5 for adults and free for students.

Thorpe Langley Auditorium is in Old Main at 1710 Weeks Ave. in Superior.
