The University of Wisconsin-Superior Alumni Association is hosting a new event on Saturday, October 14. A Superior Soirée: Connecting Community & Campus will be held in the Yellowjacket Union on the UW-Superior campus, and include dining, live entertainment, a silent auction, raffles and more. The fun event is open to everyone.

The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a social hour. A cash bar will open, silent auction items will be on display and raffle tickets will be on sale.

Next, dinner will be served. The delicious family-style, five-course, smaller portion meal will include hors d’oeuvres, salad, pasta, filet mignon and dessert.

The Alumni Awards and program will follow. Each year, the Alumni Association honors outstanding alumni, faculty, staff and community members. This year they will recognize the following Yellowjackets:

• Distinguished Alumni Award: Janet Mohr, ’73
• Recent Alumni Achievement Award: Jenny Kiks.ádi Van Sickle, ’16
• Honorary Alumni Award: Dr. Richard Stewart
• James Rainaldo Outstanding Mentor Award: Tammy Fanning
• Ed & Betty Kossak Service Award: Dr. Gayle Wahner, ’69

The evening will end with fabulous live entertainment. River Rats Dueling Pianos are masters of rock-n-roll comedy. With a large repertoire of favorite songs old and new, guests can prepare for an exciting and interactive experience. Tickets are $65 for individuals and $300 for tables of six. Proceeds will benefit both students and alumni.
