UW-Superior recognized for student voter participation

The University of Wisconsin-Superior has been awarded the 2024 Highly Established Action Plan Seal by @ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge.

This recognition is awarded to campuses leading the way with innovative strategies to increase nonpartisan democratic engagement on their campus. UW-Superior is one of 93 campuses to receive the 2024 Highly Established Action Plan Seal.

“We are honored to hear that UW-Superior has earned ALL IN’s Highly Established Action Plan Seal for the upcoming 2024 election cycle,” said Katelyn Baumann, UW-Superior Link Center Outreach Program Manager. “UW-Superior’s nonpartisan voter and civic engagement program, Jackets Vote, submitted an action plan that received 35 out of 36 possible points. This action plan details our commitment to nonpartisan civic learning, political engagement, and student voter participation. At this time, UW-Superior is the only institution in our region with this seal and the accompanying Voter Friendly Campus designations.”

The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge is proud to recognize the colleges and universities that have earned the Highly Established Action Plan Seal of recognition. ALL IN has developed this seal of recognition for higher education institutions with strong action plans to increase nonpartisan democratic engagement by promoting civic learning, political engagement, and college student voter participation. Action plan strength is determined by reviewing campus action plans with the Strengthening American Democracy Action Planning Rubric.
