The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host the Japanese drum group Taiko Arts Midwest for a free workshop and performance for the campus and community on Tuesday, October 3.

The workshop will run from 4 to 5 p.m. and will be followed by a performance at 6 p.m. Both events will take place in Thorpe Langley Auditorium

Taiko is the Japanese word for drum and refers to the modern style of playing. The high-energy performance art combines music, dance, martial arts, athletics and culture.

This event is sponsored by UW-Superior’s TRIO Student Support Services, Music Department and Department of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Thorpe Langley Auditorium is in Old Main at 1710 Weeks Ave.
