The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host a film screening of “Stewart Udall: The Politics of Beauty” presented by filmmaker John de Graaf on Thursday, September 28, at 7 p.m. in Erlenbach Lecture Hall.

Free and open to the community, this film tells the story of Secretary Udall as an advocate of social and environmental justice, international cooperation, the arts and the protection of shared environment and natural beauty.

Following the 78-minute film, de Graaf, a recipient of UW-Superior’s Outstanding Alumni Award, will provide commentary and answer questions. He attended UW-Superior from 1967-1969 and is an award-winning producer of more than 40 public television documentaries and films and the author of four books that expand on the themes of his documentaries.

This event is sponsored by UW-Superior’s Public Leadership and Changemaking Program and the Departments of Communicating Arts and Social Inquiry. Erlenbach Lecture Hall is located in Swenson Hall at 1610 Weeks Ave.
