Student Tax Reporting Information

1098-T Tax Information

UW-Superior files the 1098-T form for each student who had qualified tuition and other related educational expenses paid during the previous calendar year. Your 1098T will contain payments and scholarships/grants applied to your student account between Jan. 1  and Dec. 31 and will be available in early January each year.

How to Access Your 1098-T Document

You will be able to access the 1098-T form for the previous calendar year directly from your E-hive account in early January.

You will need to consent to receive it electronically:

  1. Log into E-hive
  2. Navigate to Account Services under the Financial Account section
  3. Click on View 1098-T, and click on Grant Consent to receive the form electronically, if prompted
  4. Review and submit the 1098-T Consent Agreement

If you do not consent to receive the form electronically, a paper copy will be mailed to the address specified on the 1098-T the last week of January.

How to access your 1098-T form electronically:

  1. Log into E-hive
  2. Navigate to Account Services under the Financial Account section
  3. Click on View 1098-T
  4. Click on the year the desired 1098-T was issued for under the Tax Year Column of the 1098-T Report Selection

This form contains important tax information related to tuition, scholarships and other information for the calendar year, January 1 through December 31, which may need to be completed either on your or your parents’ tax return.
