Institutional Research provides leadership to the UW-Superior community through guidance and support in data-informed planning and decision making while strengthening the institutional accountability in improving learning environments and outcomes for the success of all students. Sponsored Programs advances funded research, scholarship and creative endeavors for faculty and staff. We serve as a resource to assist faculty and staff in the pre-award funding process including, finding extramural funding opportunities, proposal review, budget development, and submission, as well as, building capacity of faculty and staff to pursue extramural funding through technical assistance and training. Sponsored Programs oversees the UW-Superior proposal authorization and submission process, maintains records of UW-Superior submissions and awards, and oversees the financial tracking and reporting of grant and contract awards. The Accountability Dashboard is produced annually for the UW Board of Regents. It features various measures of effectiveness and accountability. For ease of use, you can view dashboard information by topic.

The CDS initiative is a collaborative effort between four major college guide publishers and the educational community to develop a standard set of questions and data definitions for use in surveys that gather information for college guidebooks, rankings, and other resources for prospective students. The purpose is to improve the quality and consistency of information, while easing the burden on colleges that receive many survey requests each year.

Request Data

We’re here to help! Please send your request to ir@uwsuper.edu. Be sure to include the following:

  • Request description: what is the question you would like answered?
  • Purpose of your request: how will the data be used? Who is the intended audience?
  • Relevant details/criteria: examples of details could be time period (year and term), student population, etc.
  • Requested due date: please allow two weeks minimum. Your data may be ready sooner depending on the complexity of the request and capacity in the office.

Qualtrics Survey Tool

Qualtrics is a powerful, easy-to-use, online survey tool used by our Faculty, Staff, and Students to construct basic or complex surveys, manage distributions, and analyze collected data to meet a variety of campus needs.
