Your College Journey Starts Here!

Weekend of Welcome (WOW) is a required comprehensive educational and social program designed to prepare incoming first-year students to succeed at UW-Superior. WOW provides students an important opportunity to meet other students, explore campus and prepare to start the year through a variety of sessions, events and traditions. We are so excited to welcome our newest Yellowjackets to campus this fall!

Once you arrive, your Team Leader (an upperclassmen) will help you navigate WoW and getting started on campus. The countdown is on and we can’t wait!

Saturday, August 29 – Move-in Day

  • 8:30am – 1:00pm – Residence Hall Move-In
  • 8:30am-1:00pm  – WoW Check-In in the Yellowjacket Union
    • *NOTE: Commuter students do not need to attend Saturday; they can check in on Sunday at 11am 
  • 5:00pm-9:00pm  – Residence Hall Floor Meetings & Activities (CMO Building) 

Sunday, August 30

  • **9:30am-1:00pm  – Bridge Program Orientation – lunch provided  
    • **NOTE: Required for Bridge Program participants ONLY 
  • 11:00am-1:00pm - Lunch (on own: meal plan open) 
  • **11:00am-12:45pm  – Commuter Student Check-In (YU Atrium)  
    • **NOTE: Required for commuter students only 
  • *1:00pm-2:00pm  – WoW Welcome 
  • *2:00pm-3:00pm  – Team Meeting #1 
  • *3:00pm-4:00pm  – Team Activities 
  • 4:30pm-6:00pm  – Dinner (on own: meal plan open)
  •  6:00pm-8:00pm  – Optional Evening Activities: TBD

Monday, August 31

  • 8:30am  – Breakfast (on own: meal plan open) 
  • *9:30am  – Team Meeting #2 
  • *10:00am-11:45am  – Educational Sessions & Team Meeting #3  
  • *11:45am-1:00pm  – Lunch (provided)  
  • *1:00pm-4:00pm  – Educational Sessions & Team Activities  
  • 5:00pm-7:00pm  – Dinner (on own: meal plan open)  
  • 6:00pm-8:00pm  – Optional Evening Activities: TBD

  • 8:00am-9:30am  – Optional Advising Drop-Ins (Last name A-M)
  • 8:00am-9:30am – Optional Cashier’s Drop-Ins (All students)
