What You’ll Learn
The structure of the program requires students to complete 36 credits distributed across 6 categories. They include:

Help From Your Advisors
As a first-year student at UW-Superior, you’ll be welcomed with a dedicated primary academic advisor who will guide you through your Core General Education Requirements (CGER) curriculum. Once you declare your major, you’ll also be paired with a secondary faculty advisor from your chosen department, providing you with tailored support and expertise.
Your secondary advisor will offer valuable insights specific to your field. For instance, if you’re pursuing psychology or aiming for medical school, courses in intercultural communication could enhance your skill set. Similarly, marketing students may find courses in photography and aesthetics beneficial for their professional development. With personalized advising, we ensure you have the resources and guidance to succeed in your academic journey and career aspirations.
Will my credits transfer?
You may receive credit from your advanced placement (AP) scores or coursework completed at another college or university towards the Core General Education Requirements. Contact the Transfer Center for an evaluation of your credits.
Additionally, all UW universities now share the same Core General Education Requirement framework, which will allow students to transfer course more easily between UW universities.
