Board of Regents Meeting
at UW-Superior
October 7 – 9, 2026
Welcome to UW-Superior!
On behalf of the UW-Superior community, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the UW-Superior campus for the Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents meeting on Thursday-Friday, October 8-9 and administrative meetings prior on Wednesday, October 7.
Our beautiful and distinctive location provides a calming yet powerful source of inspiration as we advance the learning goals of our students and meet the needs of employers and partners throughout the Twin Ports region.
As the Anchor of the North among the Universities of Wisconsin, UW-Superior is proudly located minutes away from Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world, and surrounded by the woods and lakes of northwest Wisconsin. Our beautiful and distinctive location serves as a calming and powerful inspiration for our university to serve the learning goals of our students and the employer and partner needs of the Twin Ports region. We invite you to explore the Twin Ports of Superior, WI and Duluth, MN while you are here and discover why the area is a premier tourism destination.
At UW-Superior, students arrive with grit and leave with greatness. During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to see firsthand how our students, faculty, staff and alumni are making an impact across the region and beyond.
Following Wednesday’s meetings, we invite you to a special concert featuring our talented Music Department students and faculty at the Cathedral of Christ the King, renowned for its outstanding acoustics. Invited guests are also welcome to attend the Chancellor’s Reception at the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center on the shores of Lake Superior. For those arriving Tuesday evening, you’ll have the opportunity to attend a lecture by Alexandra Cousteau, granddaughter of the famous ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau, or take in the Dig Pink fundraiser volleyball game. Should you prefer to explore the beauty of the region, we recommend spending time on Wisconsin Point, walking the Osaugie trail along the bay side of Lake Superior or enjoying one of our fabulous local restaurants in Superior.
I look forward to seeing you and sharing the people, places and experiences that make UW-Superior the Anchor of the North within the Universities of Wisconsin. I think you’ll discover why UW-Superior truly lives up to its namesake and we promise you a Superior experience.

Dr. Maria Stalzer Wyant Cuzzo
Interim Chancellor
