Program Overview

The Inclusive Teaching Methods badge is a 6-credit microcredential designed for educators and school professionals. This program provides knowledge on the selection and application of assistive technology to support individuals with disabilities in school environments and society. It also explores collaboration techniques for working with school professionals and community agencies to maximize inclusion.

Courses included (3 credits each):

  • SPED 488 – Methods in Special Education
  • SPED 493 – Inclusive Management Strategies

Upon completion, students will be able to:

  • Understand how to select and implement assistive technology to enhance inclusion.
  • Develop collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and community partners.
  • Earn a digital badge recognizing their achievement.

Earning Criteria

To earn this certificate, enrollees must:

  • Complete both courses listed above with a grade of C or better in each course.
