
Program Overview
The Learning Strategies for Educators badge is a 6-credit microcredential designed for current and aspiring K–12 educators. This program provides an overview of learners with disabilities across all federally established categories, strategies for inclusion in classrooms, and support techniques for exceptional learners.
Courses included (3 credits each):
- SPED 283 – The Exceptional Child
- SPED 355 – Interventions/Methods in Services in Special Education
Upon completion, students will be able to:
- Understand the characteristics and needs of learners with disabilities.
- Apply strategies for inclusive instruction and exceptional learner support.
- Earn a digital badge recognizing their achievement.

Earning Criteria
To earn this certificate, enrollees must:
- Complete both courses listed above with a grade of C or better in each course.
