The University of Wisconsin-Superior Department of Communicating Arts will host its 21st annual Student Film and Video Showcase on Friday, May 17, at 7 p.m. in Manion Theater. This event is free and open to the community.
The showcase will include a variety of styles and cover a range of topics.
The schedule includes:
- “Seoul-ful Bites,” a narrative by Haeun Oh, Advanced Digital Filmmaking
- “Two Sides of Me,” a narrative by Patrick Douglas, Intermediate Digital Filmmaking
- “Ink of the Black Gloves,” a narrative by Drew Kerner, Intermediate Digital Filmmaking
- “Cabin in the Woods,” a narrative by Andrew Mathews, Intermediate Digital Filmmaking
- “Undiscovered Leaves,” a narrative by Jeffrey McClure, Advanced Digital Filmmaking
- “Elements,” an experimental, by Thomas Noack, Advanced Digital Filmmaking
- “Metamodernity,” an experimental, by Drew Kerner, Advanced Digital Filmmaking
- “Of Two Worlds,” a documentary, by Mikayla Swanson, Senior Capstone Project
- “Keep It Funny: A Portrait of Steve Solkela,” a documentary by Andrew Mathews, Advanced Digital Filmmaking
- “Crunchtime!!,” a narrative by Peter C. Potswald, Advanced Digital Filmmaking
- “Going Cold,” a narrative by Jake Edwards, Advanced Digital Filmmaking
- “Kingfall,” a narrative by Thomas Noack, Senior Capstone Project

For students, the event represents the end of the spring semester and the culmination of months of work.
Manion Theater is in the Holden Fine Arts Center at 1805 Catlin Ave. in Superior.
