Jazz Band hosts annual Valentine’s Swing Dance

The University of Wisconsin-Superior Jazz Band be playing plenty of sweet notes for its annual Valentine’s Swing Dance on Wednesday, February 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room.

The evening will feature music from the classic era of big band with songs from Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie and Woody Herman. Included with the price of admission, swing dance lessons will be available between sets.

Having occurred for more than 10 years, the event has become a Valentine’s Day tradition in the Twin Ports. The Yellowjacket Union is located at 1605 Catlin Ave. Tickets, which can be purchased at the door with cash, check, credit or debit card, are $5 for adults and free for students.
