The University of Wisconsin-Superior Music Department will present Faculty Chamber Winds on Tuesday, January 27, at 7:30 p.m. in Webb Recital Hall as part of its University Recital Series.

Featuring Melanie Sever, flute; Madeline Miller, oboe; Randy Lee, clarinet; Karl Kubiak, bassoon; and Deborah Rausch, French horn; the recital will highlight Romantic style writing for woodwind quintet.

The concert will feature lush musical sounds of Austrian composer Ludwig Thuille, Frenchman Paul Taffanel and American Amy Beach.

“Their sonorous melodies will be punctuated by exciting and unique British and American folk works,” said Rausch. “Expect to fall in love with the winds.”

Tickets are $15 and are available at the door.

Webb Recital Hall is in Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center, 1805 Catlin Ave.
