Up, up, and away! The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta has grown into one of the world’s most photographed events, as hot air balloons sail silently through the crisp fall air. This exciting journey includes time in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque, two culturally rich cities.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Albuquerque. Welcome to a veritable “land of enchantment.” New Mexico is a place diverse in culture and scenic beauty. In both Santa Fe and Albuquerque, discover cities rich in multiculturalism, natural beauty and profound history. Albuquerque’s International Balloon Fiesta has grown into one of the world’s most photographed events. Tonight, enjoy a welcome reception with your fellow travelers.

Day 2: Start the day with a visit to the New Mexico Museum of Art. Perhaps you’ll explore the museum’s historic building to view work that focuses on the southwest, such as the art of Georgia O’Keeffe. Then, enjoy time on your own for lunch followed by a visit to the Miraculous Staircase at the Loretto Chapel. Tonight, a special treat awaits at the Santa Fe School of Cooking. It’s your favorite cooking show come to life as you watch an expert chef create a delicious meal before your eyes. Everything is made with a Southwest theme and is simply delightful.

Day 3: Enjoy a morning at leisure to enjoy Santa Fe before setting out for Albuquerque. Arrive in Albuquerque, your home for the next three nights. Enjoy some time in Old Town to explore the wonderful shops and restaurants.

Day 4: Today is sure to be one of the highlights of your trip…Albuquerque’s International Balloon Fiesta. Join in the excitement of this annual hot-air ballooning extravaganza. This is your chance to experience one of the world’s most photographed events. Watch as the balloons launch in one of the most spectacular displays of sound and color in all of aviation. Then, visit the gateway to the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. See the ever-changing galleries that highlight local and national Native American artists. With a focus on Pueblo artists, the center strives to preserve their culture. Since before the Cold War started, New Mexico has been known as a hub for covert military projects. This fascinating history unfolds at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History where a docent takes you on an intriguing journey that includes details of the Manhattan Project.

Day 5: This morning, head back to Fiesta Park to witness another exciting hot air balloon ascension. Then enjoy lunch at one of Albuquerque’s local restaurants. Tonight, return to the fiesta grounds to experience the grandeur of the Balloon Fiesta by moonlight. The breathtaking event of balloons lit from within at night is known as “Balloon Glow.” There will be plenty of time to stroll the grounds, shop for a memorable Balloon Fiesta souvenir or grab a bite to eat.

Day 6: Your tour comes to a close with wonderful memories of the spectacular Balloon Fiesta.

Price and What’s Included

Only $3,349 per person/double occupancy ($4,349 single). A $698 deposit per person is due upon reservation. Space is limited!

Included in price: Round trip air from Minneapolis/St Paul Intl (MSP), air taxes and fees/surcharges, all lodging, hotel transfers, tour manager and local guides, all experiences/excursions unless noted, 7 meals.

Not included in the price: Cancellation waiver and insurance of $349 per person, some meals, most gratuity. All rates are per person and are subject to change based on air inclusive package from MSP. Air travel may be arranged from other airports as well.

Final payment is due by August 06, 2023.
